Thanks Rachel! It's so nice to know that others have been through the same thing. We just never know what's around the next bend the road, but so nice to know that God is walking ahead of us! The gluten free diet really helps me! I can really tell when I've fallen off the wagon, so you should give it a try! All best, Patti

Hi Patti,
Just read your blog about your RA diagnosis and how life changed after that. Wow, what a powerful blog. Thanks for sharing. And I'm so happy the you believed...you really believed and trusted that God was there for you! Awsome. It's so hard to give it all to Him when we want control of our lives. Your blog is a great testimony to all of us.

In Oct. 2009, I woke up one morning and my hands were stiff. What? I couldn't believe that the night before I was fine and in the morning I couldn't use them. My body muscles stiffened up as well, but not as bad, and for the next six months I went through testing to find out what was going on. Tests showed I did not (at that time) have RA, but some like osteoarthritis. I'm much better this year, thank God for that. I, too, had to trust God to get me through. Some days my hands are stiffer than others. I'm going to look into information on gluten and see if making small changes will help my hands.

I so appreciate your blog on RA.
Thanks,
Rachel Anderson

You sound a lot like me...when I need to step away it is to absorb myself in reading...research (smile). I'm also reading lots of YA books right now. I go spend some time at Barnes & Nobles or the Public Library...being around books recharges my muse like crazy.
There is one more things I do - take time to be with my grandchildren. They recharge me better than anything else. Being around youth makes me take an active part in acting youthful...and it really gets the creative juices flowing.

Thanks Wendi...I can't believe how close I am to being done with the draft! Especially since it's something I thought I'd never do. I'm a picture book gal at heart. Getting outside the box is never easy, but it feels good!

Well, I hear ya. I usually sit down to read when things aren't going so well. Right now I'm devouring a lot of YA Novels. They're really helping to put me in the mindset of a YA, ya know. Anyway, keep thinking spring and you'll finish in no time. The End!
